Hello. This blog accompanies my book Introduction to the English Legal System the 9th edition of which (for 2014-2015) was published by Oxford University Press in April 2014. See link at the side of this page.
The blog has a number of aims.
First, it offers you my personal views on key developments in the English justice system, and highlights issues which other media may not have picked up.
Second, it enables me to ensure that the book is kept up-to-date; important developments which have taken place since the book was published are noted here.
Third, it contains short podcasts – interviews which I have recorded with key personnel working in different parts of the English Legal System.
Finally, and very important, it provides you with the opportunity to comment on the legal system and how it works. I look forward to hearing from you.
The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2013 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
A New York City subway train holds 1,200 people. This blog was viewed about 7,200 times in 2013. If it were a NYC subway train, it would take about 6 trips to carry that many people.
